O / I
Chamber circus for a juggler and a musician.

Circus artist Maksim Komaro's instantaneous movements and rhythms meet Markus Lahtinen's one-man orchestra to produce a two-man circus act - an original piece imbued with subtle humour.

Layer by layer, Lahtinen creates the acoustic landscape of the performance. He combines the timbre of the contrabass with electronic instruments - with the musical array of O/I varying from electro to circus music. Time and space have been dedicated to the creation of acoustic layers and the acoustic landscape. Music also accompanies juggling: Komaro approaches juggling through his original, pure expression that seeks its inspiration from the free rhythms and phrasing of jazz.

O/I puts virtuosity in the open: the performance highlights the artists' professional skills, creativity and mastery. Both artists are equally at the forefront and as accompanists, with the roles varying from one scene to another.
